Sunday, October 18th we celebrate at Hope Episcopal Church, Manheim Pennsylvania our 177th anniversary. (which is also the Feast of Saint Luke) as a joyful reminder of God’s faithfulness through every season. This milestone invites us to give thanks for the generations who prayed, served, and built this ministry, to reaffirm the mission God has entrusted to us today, and to look with hope toward the work still ahead. As we remember the past and rejoice in the present, we commit ourselves anew to being a faithful witness of Christ’s love in our community. When this congregation began, it did so with prayer, courage, and trust. Every season since — seasons of growth, seasons of challenge, seasons of quiet perseverance — has been held within the steadfast love of God. Anniversaries invite us to pause and say: “God has kept us. God has led us. God has provided.”
Psalm 100 vs. 1-5: calls God’s people to serve with gladness and come before Him with singing. 1 O give thanks to the Lord, call on his name, make known his deeds among the peoples. 2 Sing to him, sing praises to him; tell of all his wonderful works. 3 Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. 4 Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually. 5 Remember the wonderful works he has done, his miracles, and the judgements he has uttered,
Anniversaries also remind us who we are: A worshiping people, A serving people A community shaped by grace A witness to Christ in the world We are not here by accident. We are here because God has called this congregation to be a light in this place.
