Every Life has it’s Seasons

This was a post on facebook with no author posted on fblifestyle. I thought it summed up life in a few words as it hit home to me as I am in the winter of life.

My grandpa once told me, “Every life has its seasons — and winter isn’t the end, it’s the quiet before new beginnings.” When I was younger, I used to think winter was a sad time. The days were short, the trees bare, and everything seemed still. But as I’ve grown older, I’ve learned to see its beauty — not in the noise of what’s happening, but in the peace of what remains. In youth, we are spring — full of bloom, energy, and endless dreams. In our middle years, we are summer — busy, bright, and alive with responsibility. Then comes autumn — when we begin to let go of what no longer serves us, learning to appreciate the small things. And finally, winter — calm, quiet, and deeply meaningful. Winter is the season when the soul rests, when memories keep you warm, and when you realize that love doesn’t fade — it settles in your heart like gentle snow. It’s the time when you appreciate the tea that stays warm longer, the sun that still finds its way through the window, and the laughter that echoes from years gone by. It’s not a time of endings — it’s a time of reflection, peace, and gratitude. Because in the winter of life, we finally understand — Happiness was never about how fast we moved, but how deeply we lived. 🌨️
