What Is Your Final Prayer?

What Is Your Final Prayer? – A Sermon On John 17:6-19 Published by Michael K. Marsh on May 12, 2024

I read an interesting and thought-provoking sermon this afternoon.  As you can see by the title it was called “What is your Final Prayer”?  We heard or read the Gospel for this Sunday John 17: 6-19, so we know what Jesus’ final prayer was. It was for His disciples, and it was for us.

So, the writer of this sermon asked us to compose our final prayer. I am not sure many of us have ever thought of doing that, but I decided to give it a try. It took some thinking and a little soul-searching. I did come up with a final prayer. I guess it was a little unnerving but as I am approaching 80 and have some health issues, it may have been unnerving, but it again made me do some thinking and soul searching. I, like the author of this sermon challenge those who are reading this to take up the challenge and compose your final prayer. If you can always write it down and use it as a reminder. I have included the link to the sermon if you would like to read the complete text.
